The trouble is, if you don’t risk anything, you risk even more.

TaKeTiNa rhythm meditations free!

There is no charge for these circles, because these are “practice” groups. I’ve been studying TaKeTiNa for thirteen years. Learning to lead the TaKeTiNa process is a life-long commitment and requires constant practice with groups of people.

But more importantly, these circles are “practice”  in the sense of developing direct, unmediated awareness as one does when one meditates. We all get the chance to begin at the level we are at, and –by honoring that place, by fully inhabiting that place– begin to explore, in a safe and accepting environment, where we can go from there. It is different for everyone, yet it is a journey we can all share.

A typical TaKeTiNa workshop is two or three days long, so these two-hour practice sessions are just the tip of the iceberg, a chance for participants to explore the process and a chance for me to work on my skills. Above all, it’s an opportunity for us –together– to explore the power of rhythm to instruct, challenge, and heal.
