LABYRINTH LOOKING FOR NEW OWNER

Could it be you?

I am looking for an angel or angels to cherish and continue Hawai‘i‘s 25-year-old ‘Awapuhi Labyrinth. More than just a piece of land, it is a public park, a potential business, and a cherished community resource for meditation, connection, and healing.

To ensure that this beautiful space finds its rightful steward, we are implementing an application process that goes beyond mere financial considerations.

This application process provides us with an opportunity to get to know each potential buyer on a deeper level, understanding their connection to labyrinths, and their intentions for its future. We believe that this approach will help us find someone who not only values the physical space but also shares our commitment to preserving its essence and significance within the community.

Mahalo nui for your understanding and cooperation. We look forward to receiving your application and embarking on this journey together.

About Deborah

My name is Deborah Masterson; I am the caretaker of the ‘Awapuhi Labyrinth on the Big Island of Hawai‘i. I'm also a certified advanced TaKeTiNa Rhythm teacher. My fascination with the mystery and power of rhythm was ignited when in 1988 I attended a Samulnori concert. For many years, I concentrated on Korean percussion and dance, both in Honolulu and in Korea. Over the intervening years, my explorations have included West African dundun, Afro-Cuban and Congolese congas, dumbek, frame drum, and classical Indian music. But these days I am into painting!
